Detailed information of the locomotives

 

Chassis:

All STS Fun train models are built up conventional chassis of Suzuki Grand Vitara, Mercedes G Nissan Patrol and Land Rover. These ensure the customer that all Services can carried out in a  Suzuki, Mercedes, Nissan or Land Rover garage in the immediate vicinity.

 

 

Locomotive:

The locomotive consists of 20 plastic parts which can be changed when required (damage) without any problems. The driver’s cab has one lockable door, on each side. The driver’s cab can be equipped with one or two seats. A glazing with security glass in the driver’s cab which also can be opened, ensure every day's business by all weathers. The locomotive can be equipped with a heating system and air-condition. In the locomotive is the original multifunctional display of Mercedes, Suzuki or Nissan and all important switches are close to the steering wheel.

 

 

Electric System:

All models have a 12 Volt electric system and the locomotive is providing the coaches with electricity.

 

Suzuki Brakes:

All Suzuki models have disc brakes on the front axle and drum brakes on the rear axle. On request we can equip the models with the anti-lock braking system and 4x4 all-wheel drive.  

 

Mercedes Brakes:

All Mercedes models have as standard equipment the anti-lock braking system and permanent all-wheel drive.

The locomotive has a hydraulic brake system with air support from WABCO and a special system witch regulate the braking performance of the coaches.

 

 

Nissan Patrol / Land Rover Defender Brakes:

All Nissan and Land Rover models have disc brakes on the front and rear axle.

 

 

Power-Assisted Steering:

Suzuki, Mercedes, Nissan and Land Rover have as standard equipment a power-assisted steering also when the engine is turned off the steering is working perfectly.

 

 

Coupling gear and spare wheel:

The locomotive is equipped with a ROCKINGER trailer coupling. 

Both spare wheel and jack are on the right side of the engine compartment.

Loudspeaker system:

On request can be installed a loudspeaker system with two loudspeakers in each coach. In addition to that this system has 4 different railway-sounds witch can be heard in front of the train like a horn.

 

 

  Voice guide device - Multimedia device:

This device can be used as an information device for tourists for directions for explanations of the sights in a town. With an USB-Stick can be stored 25 different recordings. By pressing the buttons the driver can easily play the recordings on special places. 3-10 differents languages (depending on the length) can be stored.

Detailed information of the coaches

 

 

 

Chassis:

The coaches are a construction of steel, witch can be treated with zinc on request.  

 

Axles:

The coaches are equipped with ALKO axles witch are steered and fit with suspension. On request we also can offer axels with air suspension from KNOTT. All models have a  front and a rear axle witch are steered and fit with suspension and this ensure a problem-free road performance also of small and bendy streets.  

 

 

Brakes:

The brake system of the coaches is actuated with a hydraulic air support (WABCO).  

 

 

Wheels:

The rim has the size 5,5j x 13 and the wheel size is 195/50xR13C with a maximum weight of 900 kg/wheel.

Floor:

For the floor is used an aluminium channeled-sheet.

 

Bench:

Dependent on the type of coach we offer 5 or 7 seat rows with 4 seats in each row facing the engine. The benches consists of washable plastic and can equipped with cushions. On the bake side of the benches are grab handles fitted into.  

 

 

Roof:

Inside of the roof are 5 lamps and 2 loudspeakers.  

 

 

Emergency switch:

In each coach are two switchers to press which give a signal to the driver in the driver’s cab to stop the train.

   

 

Safety locks, safety chains:

The coaches have on each side 5 or 7 doors which are equipped with safety locks and safety chains.

 

 

Electric System:

The locomotive is providing the electric system with 12 Volt.

 

 

Last seat row:

The last seat row can be used for the heating, as storage space for the PVC coat or the spare wheel.

Heating:

As an extra equipment we offer a WEBASTO heating for the coaches which is situated under the last bench.  

 

 

 

Weatherproof PVC Coat:

For bad-weather-days we offer for the open coaches a weatherproof PVC coat which has a zip one every door to go in.

 

   

 

Closed Coaches:

Depending on the purpose we can offer our coaches also in a closed version. This is a special modular constructin system witch makes possible to take off the parts in summer and close the coach again in winter.

 

 

Closed Coaches with PANORAMA GLAZING

We offer a new version of closed coaches with glasses. This is a special security glass. With this glazing the passengers have an unlimited range of vision. This version of coaches is also suitable for winter and in summer the glasses can be taken off.

 

 

 

 

Ski Rack:

Extra equipment are the ski racks where passengers can put their skiis in during the trip. 

 

 

 

Wheel chair ramp:

We can offer wheel chair ramps for the coaches.  Both doors of the row can be opended. The ramp can work manual or pneumatically.

For 1 wheel chair place in the coach 2 normal seats are needed.  

 

 

Billboard with lights:

The new attraction for the coaches is the billboard with coloured lights. The people were more than before encouraged and attract to make a trip with the train.  

 

 

 

The craft-train:
